Wooden floors are still a popular choice. The warmth and character it adds to a room is unmatched. The feel of the house can be changed almost instantly by wood floors. They also have many benefits.

Hardwood floors are expensive. For many, the cost can be prohibitive. Engineered wooden flooring is a viable alternative that can provide the same look and feel as a wood floor for a lower price. For Engineered Wood Flooring, visit //www.irwintiles.ie/wooden-flooring/engineered-wood-flooring

Easy Installation

Engineered floors are made up of a hardwood veneer such as oak and many thin layers of wood which have been glued together and compressed. This process gives the wood its strength and durability. The planks of wood are tongue-and-groove and can be slotted together. Then they need to be stapled down on the subfloor.

Resilience

Multiple layers of urethane applied to the subfloor before laying engineered wood planks help to increase the durability of the flooring, since they provide a more protective barrier. The wood is constructed differently, so it does not expand or contract as much as solid wood. It is therefore resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuations. This makes it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.

Improve Your Home

The market offers a variety of styles of engineered floors to suit every taste. Oak engineered flooring is a good choice for those who want a traditional look. A lime-washed finish will give you a modern feel.

Long-lasting Looks

Engineered hardwood flooring can be sanded or refinished like real wood. You don’t have to tear up the laminate floor and start over if it starts to look worn. It is possible to completely transform the appearance of your flooring with less effort.
