If you are considering the maintenance of your aircraft engine parts, then one of the first things that will be brought up is how to clean aircraft engines. Or more correctly, how to clean an airframe after a power shift. If you are concerned about a build up of grime affecting the components then you probably think that the next logical step is to know how to clean those parts. If you have cleaned your engine then you should consider cleaning the rest of the aircraft components as well. This will ensure that everything is in good working order and it will also prevent any costly repairs down the road.

There are a few different methods for cleaning an engine. The best method for most applications is to use a high pressure water jet cleaning system. This method is ideal for cleaning the engine bores because they are often made of metal. The main downside to this method is that you must have access to large amounts of clean water. If you don’t have access to a lot of water then you may want to consider a low pressure version of this system which will require less water. Alternatively, consider cleaning the parts in a Large Ultrasonic Cleaner from Hilsonic

Another method of how to clean aircraft engines is to use what is known as a pressure washer. Pressure washers use high pressure water to wash away dirt and oil build up from the engine. This is often a better choice if you plan on keeping your engine well lubricated. If you plan on changing the oil on your engine frequently then a pressure washer may not be the best choice.
